The opening ceremony of the 6th Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek Cultural and Tourism Festival and the special exhibition "From Yuan-Dynasty Water Gates to Waibaidu Bridge: The History and Culture of Suzhou Creek" was recently held at the Shanghai History Museum.
Centered on Suzhou Creek, Shanghai's mother river, the exhibition consists of five sections. It comprehensively displays the millennial historical evolution of Suzhou Creek and vividly demonstrates the practice of the people-centered urban development concept along both river banks.
Free and open to the public without reservation, the exhibition will run through October 7.

The 2026 Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek Waterfront Life Season has officially launched at the pier. It creates an all-age friendly immersive summer consumption experience connecting water and land spaces.
