The CCG EXPO 2026 will be held from July 4 to 6 at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing, marking the second consecutive year that the event takes place in Putuo District.
The expo is part of the second Shanghai International Game & Anime Month, which kicked off on June 29. This month-long festival integrates three major summer anime and gaming events - CCG EXPO 2026, BilibiliWorld 2026, and ChinaJoy - leveraging youth pop culture to nurture globally recognized domestic game and animation IPs and boost the high-quality development of digital cultural creative industries featuring China-chic and homegrown animation.
CCG EXPO 2026 is positioned as a hardcore professional feast centered on two main themes: tabletop games and indie games. A total of 214 exhibitors and independent designers will gather, showcasing more than 450 carefully selected game titles.
“The exhibition focuses primarily on board games, with 80 percent coming from domestic tabletop game companies,” said Cao Jun, deputy general manager of Shanghai Xuandong Huizhan Cultural Communication Co Ltd and a representative of the expo’s organizing committee. He emphasized that the event highlights original domestic content, “especially board games related to intangible cultural heritage.”
This year’s indie game area is divided into three special zones. Gcores Publishing, a brand under the gaming media platform Gcores, will bring seven indie games of diverse styles, all available for on-site trial play.
In the tabletop section, industry giants Asmodee and YOKA’s original game division will showcase major new releases, along with renowned brands such as Broadway Toys. A dedicated tabletop role‑playing experience zone covering nearly 1,000 square meters will also be available.
