The "classic events season" of the Shanghai Tourism Festival will kick off with a float parade, cultural showcases and about 200 programs. Let’s take a look at what Putuo District has in store.

Twenty-five floats will parade through designated areas or remain parked with lights on for display.

A Joy Tour in Shanghai: Find Jay Chou
Coinciding with Jay Chou’s Shanghai concert, this event will set up pop-up check-in points at city landmarks. It integrates an offline carnival market with Huangpu River cruises, Suzhou Creek boat tours, Jiushi buses, and urban hotels to create a one-stop experience for dining, entertainment, shopping, and sightseeing across the city.

2025 Shanghai International Light Festival Putuo Branch
Under the theme “Light Up Shanghai,” this year’s light festival aims to activate urban spaces and showcase the city’s vitality through light and shadow art.
Time: September 28 – October 5
Location: Expanding from Suzhou Creek to the entire Putuo District, featuring a “1+N” light matrix: “1” refers to an immersive night tour experience; “N” includes several landmark business districts: Shanghai Global Harbor, UniPark MAX, Changfeng Joy City, Tian An 1000 Trees, and business zones along Changshou Road, boosting nighttime economy across Putuo.
2025 Suzhou Creek Wedding Ceremony
To mark the completion of the Baihe Bridge in Putuo District, a group wedding ceremony will be held, inviting 100 couples to partake in a romantic ritual and celebrate their special moment.

2025 Shanghai Citizens Culture Festival — Makeup & Styling Competition
A makeup and styling contest with the theme “Guochao (China chic) × Cosplay” will be held, with official recognition of cosplay as “makeup art.” One hundred “makeup masters” will be selected.
