The 2025 China Fashion Sports Season (Shanghai Station) and 2025 "Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek" Sports & Lifestyle Festival recently opened at the Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek Park in Putuo District.
Initiated by the Putuo District Sports Bureau in 2022, this event has become the largest and longest-running outdoor sports lifestyle festival along the Suzhou Creek waterfront in downtown Shanghai, featuring the most activity sessions and the biggest urban camping site in the city center.
This year's festival adopts a "1+6+X" diversified layout, aiming to create a riverside carnival that caters to all age groups by blending sports, trends, and lifestyle aesthetics.
Putuo's new sports landmark—the glamorously transforming Taopu area—will host exciting sports events in 2025. The "Top Run Elite Team Competition," endorsed by Shanghai runner Chen Long, will gather over 100 elite running teams and thousands of runners nationwide in Taopu. Meanwhile, the "Challenge Putuo" Winter Sports Festival will also take place in Taopu.
As downtown Shanghai's first standard ice rink, the Putuo Guojin Ice Sports Center has become the main training venue for short-track speed skating, ice hockey, and figure skating teams. A new 2,000-square-meter professional curling hall will soon be added, consolidating multiple winter sports disciplines to establish a new landmark for Shanghai's ice sports scene.
This July, the "Half-Marathon Suzhou Creek" Shanghai Rowing City Elite Competition will return as scheduled.
