May 21, 2025 |

Shanghai Global Harbor launched the first customized low-altitude sightseeing route (Global Harbor—the Bund) in downtown Shanghai on May 19, offering a new urban tourism experience from an aerial perspective.

The helicopter takes off from the outdoor platform on the fifth floor of Global Harbor, flying over iconic Shanghai landmarks such as Shanghai Indoor Stadium, Lupu Bridge, Nanpu Bridge, Lujiazui, and Yangpu Bridge (Pudong side) before returning, with the entire journey lasting about 15 minutes.

Xie Jian, chief pilot and general manager of Shanghai Hongjian General Aviation Co Ltd, introduced two low-altitude sightseeing routes: one is a 3-5 minute circling flight over Global Harbor, providing panoramic views of Suzhou Creek's scenery in Putuo District; the other is a 15-minute flight from Global Harbor to Lujiazui, showcasing the landmarks along the Huangpu River.

Ticket details:

- Global Harbor circling sightseeing (single passenger, 3-5 minutes/650 yuan)

- Global Harbor circling charter service (up to five passengers, 3-5 minutes/4,300 yuan)

- Global Harbor to Lujiazui aerial tour (single passenger, 15 minutes/2,520 yuan)

Additionally, there is a 5-minute helicopter photo experience for 68 yuan.

The service is now available on platforms like Trip.com and Dianping.

On the same day, Shanghai's highest outdoor marriage registration site on Global Harbor's 258-meter observation deck officially opened, with eight couples registering their marriages in the clouds.

Meanwhile, the 2025 "Suzhou Creek Coffee" Art & Lifestyle Season, organized by the Putuo District Culture and Tourism Bureau, kicked off.

Liu Dongchang, head of Putuo District's Publicity Department, said that over 470 coffee and related businesses are scattered across Putuo's commercial areas, streets, markets, and parks. The inaugural "Suzhou Creek Coffee" event coincides with China Tourism Day, encouraging visitors to slow down and appreciate urban life beyond mere sightseeing.
