During the May Day holiday, the Putuo District Culture and Tourism Bureau organized a series of diverse activities that attracted large numbers of residents and tourists.

Statistics show that key scenic spots and cultural venues in the district received nearly 180,000 visitors, marking a 26.5 percent year-on-year increase. Major cultural-tourism-commercial complexes saw visitors exceeding 2.2 million, with total revenue surpassing 570 million yuan (US$78.73 million), a 7 percent increase. Accommodation facilities hosted over 4,500 international tourist arrivals, up 33.5 percent year-on-year, while the average occupancy rate for star-rated hotels, mid-to-large hotels, and chain business hotels reached 80 percent.

Changfeng Ocean World debuted new mermaid performances. Polar Bear Gallery in M50 Creative Park held a special exhibition of classic anime original manuscripts. Suzhou Creek Cruise operated over 260 pet-friendly, music-themed, and upgraded collaborative dining cruises, serving more than 4,500 passengers, an increase of 25 percent, with 93 percent seat occupancy.

All major cultural-tourism-commercial complexes achieved growth notably. Zhenru Unipark MAX and Changfeng Joy City both saw 15 percent visitor growth with revenue increasing over 10 percent at both locations.
