The 2025 Suzhou Creek Half Marathon is set to kick off on March 23. The Putuo District Sports Bureau has officially announced the 21.0975-kilometer race route, linking six iconic landmarks in Putuo.

Tian An 1000 Trees: a symbiosis of art and nature

The starting point is located on Moganshan Road, adjacent to Tian An 1000 Trees. As runners set off, they are greeted by this riverside commercial complex, reborn from industrial remnants. The massive mountain-shaped architecture blends the imagery of the Huangshan mountains with the concept of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Shanghai Mint Museum: a palace of finance and history

When the runners are heading west along Jiangning Road Bridge, the echoes of century-old machinery seem to fill the air. The Shanghai Mint Museum stands quietly by the river, originally the Shanghai Mint built in 1920, renowned worldwide for its exquisite craftsmanship.

At the end of Guangfu Road W., the blue glass curtain walls reflect the solemnity of the Shanghai Banknote Printing Building. The finish line awaits the runners at Half Marathon Suzhou Creek Park. Once the cradle of China's modern national industry, the century-old chimney now stands as an art landmark, and old warehouses have transformed into Shikumen houses. The waterfront platform extends into the water, and the ginkgo avenue changes with the seasons.
