Putuo District hosted the 7th CIIE Putuo Investment Promotion Conference at the CIIE venue on November 7, showcasing new investment and development opportunities in Putuo to global enterprises.

The event featured the launch ceremony of the Putuo Global Investment Service Collaboration Points. Putuo District officially initiated the construction of the first five collaboration points in Paris, London, Singapore, Tokyo and Riyadh, focusing on key regions such as Europe, Asia-Pacific and countries along the "Belt and Road."

An official of the Putuo District Investment Promotion Office said this is a new breakthrough in exploring innovative investment promotion strategies to attract more outstanding overseas talent and projects to settle in Putuo.

During the conference, Deloitte released the "2024 Putuo District Foreign Investment Environment White Paper." The white paper, from a third-party perspective, highly praised Putuo’s business and investment environment, focusing on industrial structure, business climate and livability.

The event also highlighted the cross-border trade business environment in Putuo District. In recent years, Putuo has focused on foreign trade development, providing point-to-point services for key enterprises, resulting in accelerated growth in foreign trade. In September 2024, Putuo District's total import and export volume reached 4.67 billion yuan (US$645.03 million), a year-on-year increase of 47.4 percent, ranking first in the city in terms of growth rate.

The signing ceremony for key foreign investment projects was held at the event, with eight major foreign-funded projects settling in Putuo, covering key industries such as new energy, high-end manufacturing and commercial trade.
