On November 5, the first day of the 7th China International Import Expo, the Putuo trading delegation achieved intended transaction amounts of US$686 million, surpassing the previous event and setting a new record. Among the key buyers, Metro Supermarket signed its first intended purchase order.
With the theme "Enjoy Global Cuisine," Metro has participated in the CIIE for seven consecutive years. The CIIE serves as a comprehensive platform for the company to launch new products, expand partnerships and showcase its overall brand image.
According to Metro, this year they selected 118 products from 20 countries, including 11 European countries, for exhibition. There are 41 products making their CIIE debut, with 17 being launched for the first time at the event.
Since entering China in 1996, Metro opened its first store in Shanghai and established its headquarters here. To date, it has expanded to over 60 cities across China with more than 100 stores, deeply cultivating the Chinese market for over 28 years.
