At the recent Putuo District exhibition on specialty products from pairing-assistance regions, Zhaotong City from Yunnan Province showcased its local specialty highland apples.
Zhaotong City organized 13 exhibitors to participate in the event, mainly displaying specialty agricultural products such as apples, gastrodia, eggs and black-bone chickens.
At the Zhaotong Apple Festival, various varieties of Zhaotong apples, including Red Fuji and Aomori, were showcased, attracting many citizens.
Located in the northeast of Yunnan Province, Zhaotong boasts unique natural conditions, making it an ideal place for cultivating high-quality apples.
"During the four-day exhibition, all products were sold out, achieving sales of about 130,000 yuan (US$18,284.11) with over 2,000 transactions," said Xue Haibo, a Putuo District aid official and deputy director of the Zhaotong City Commerce Bureau.
Exhibitors from Zhaotong City successfully signed procurement contracts with nine Shanghai companies, totaling 3.6 million yuan. Additionally, 12 Shanghai companies, including well-known supermarkets, internet platforms and agricultural product trading centers, reached preliminary cooperation agreements with the exhibitors.
