Sino-German Innovation Exchange Forum Kicks Off in Taopu Smart City

The Sino-German Innovation Exchange Forum took place in Taopu Smart City on Tuesday. The forum brought together elites from government, business and academia to discuss future trends in technological innovation and explore new opportunities for industrial innovation and development.

Li Yiran, chief representative of the Berlin Business Liaison Office in China, and Timon Rupp, vice president and Asia Berlin ambassador of the Asia Berlin Association, delivered keynote speeches on the transformation journey of Berlin as an innovative city and the future of intelligent mobility, respectively. 

The event also featured a roadshow for The Drivery ecosystem project, where PoLaChain, QianGu Auto Technology, Qishi Youfan, Bear Sunny, FORVIA Faurecia and CogniBIT each presented their latest technological innovations in the automotive sector.

Sino-German collaboration is reflected in various aspects of the economic and social development of Putuo District, ranging from Tongji Hospital and Cao Yang No. 2 High School to the first Metro store in China, Menlo Systems, Broetje Automation and Deutz International Trade. To date, nearly 100 German companies or offices have settled in Putuo, especially in the Taopu area, injecting strong momentum into the regional economy.

Putuo District is fully committed to building Taopu Smart City, aiming to transform it into a demonstration area for innovation cooperation and an international hub for the commercialization of innovative technological achievements. With the completion of a batch of new facilities, Taopu Smart City will also offer German innovative enterprises and professionals more extensive development opportunities and a superior investment environment.
