The fourth annual "Half Marathon Suzhou Creek" Cultural Tourism Festival will debut on September 16 for a month-long celebration.

At the opening ceremony, a new song titled "Time on the Suzhou Creek" will be grandly released, along with the unveiling of new cruise routes on the Suzhou Creek and the latest promotional video for Putuo's cultural and tourism offerings.

As last year's inaugural boat parade on the Suzhou Creek was well received, this year's festival will continue and innovate this tradition. On the evening of September 16, the boat parade will be transformed into a nighttime event, with neon-lit boats embellishing the night view of the Suzhou Creek. Correspondingly, there will be a live connection with the float parade held around the Global Harbor during the Shanghai Tourism Festival, sharing the joy of the festivities.

Throughout the month-long event, other activities will include the 2024 inaugural Shanghai International Festival of Light at the Putuo venue, interactive experiences such as mermaid meet-and-greets at Changfeng Ocean World, and the second edition of the "Waterfront + Wedding + Culture" Suzhou Creek Wedding Ceremony, along with an exhibition of themed works related to the Half Marathon Suzhou Creek.
