Six new "Brilliant Galaxy" series cruise boats made their debut on the Suzhou Creek on Saturday evening, with the new docks at Mengqing Garden and Xikang Road also officially opening.

Putuo District now boasts five Suzhou Creek cruise docks, making it the area with the highest concentration of docks along the river in the city.

The cruise boats feature a streamlined design, highlighted by three colors: vermilion, sky blue and jade green, blending a sense of fluidity, technology and fashion.

The new boats are designed with retractable glass roofs, enhancing openness and closeness to the water and meeting the demands of tourists for expansive boat spaces and open sightseeing experiences. 

Additionally, each boat can accommodate up to 37 passengers, offering a spacious and comfortable activity area for an excellent cruising experience. The interior layout of tables and chairs is flexible, incorporating leisure, entertainment and snack and beverage services to provide a diverse range of spatial and service experiences for visitors.

Furthermore, the "Brilliant Galaxy" series continues to use the all-electric new energy propulsion system, achieving zero emissions and zero pollution for green navigation.

Mengqing Garden Dock is located about 40 meters downstream of the Jiangning Road Bridge, on the west side of the Suzhou Creek next to the Mengqing Garden Environmental Theme Park. The site was originally home to the largest brewery in the Far East, designed by Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec in 1933.

Xikang Road Dock, situated between Zhenping Road Bridge and Xikang Road Bridge on the south bank of the Suzhou Creek, is close to Zhenping Road Metro Station. The design features continuous shapes that convey long-standing stories and warm emotions.
