The inaugural Shanghai International Light Festival's Putuo District venue is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 7.
Themed "Dreams of Time," the event will focus on the "Half Marathon and Suzhou Creek" waterfront, creating a light and shadow experience that highlights cruise boats and integrates both water and land activities.
The Half Marathon and Suzhou Creek Park, M50 Creative Park, Global Harbor and Haina Park will serve as the four nodes for the Putuo District venue.
Half Marathon and Suzhou Creek Park, as the main exhibition area and the departure point for cruise boats, will feature themed zones dedicated to red culture and fashion sports, interwoven with light installations.
A series of dynamic light installations will depict the Suzhou Creek Half-Marathon route and the athletes' movements from warming up to running. These installations will also capture the ascent of light columns to their peak, symbolizing the dynamic energy of the Suzhou Creek Half-Marathon through changes in light and shadow.
Meanwhile, M50 Creative Park, Global Harbor and Haina Park will each adopt themes of "riding the winds of art," "adapting to market trends" and "drawing the future of Putuo," respectively.
