Starting August 3, Putuo will host the Mengqing Garden Riverside Cultural Season. This event will ignite the summer consumer enthusiasm in Shanghai by leveraging the Suzhou Creek's waterfront to offer tourists a novel riverside cultural and travel experience.

This marketplace event will integrate cultural, travel, commercial, and sports resources to meticulously craft a diverse consumer setting that combines leisure, entertainment, cultural experiences, shopping, and sports interaction.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Shanghai Shenhua Football Club. The Mengqing Garden Riverside Cultural Season in August will adopt "Soccer and Rippling Reflections" as its theme. It will feature a four-day themed marketplace, introducing a specially designed Shenhua-themed cruise boat, a boat model launch, and other unique activities such as riverside group match viewings, a Shenhua memorabilia pop-up store and interactive games.

The newly inaugurated Mengqing Garden Pier, Xikang Road Pier and a 37-passenger new energy cruise boat will also make their debut at this marketplace, enhancing the capacity and routes of Suzhou Creek's tourist waterway. Previously, the Suzhou Creek waterfront operated 12 cruise boats across five piers.
