The City News Service (CNS), a one-stop information service platform for expatriates, officially announced the establishment of the Shanghai International Community Info-Services Alliance recently.
This initiative, organized by the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and undertaken by the Shanghai Daily, aims to further empower the international communities in Shanghai to enhance its foreign-related service. Yichuan Road Subdistrict in Putuo District has become one of the first members of the alliance.
With the establishment of this alliance, CNS will join hands with various international communities in Shanghai to improve the city's overall foreign-related service capabilities.
It will promote the broader, wider and deeper integration of expatriates in Shanghai through authoritative information release and effective dissemination of practical information.
The Brilliant City community in Yichuan Road Subdistrict is home to nearly 1,000 expatriates from more than 30 countries and regions. The community boasts a high quality of life, convenient transportation and a rich variety of social activities, making it an international community that attracts many talents from both home and abroad.
The subdistrict organizes various activities involving cultural salons, parent-child interactions and traditional folk customs, which attract many Chinese and foreign friends to participate together.
The annual dragon boat race and half marathon held along Suzhou Creek also attract a large number of expatriates to come out of their homes and integrate into the community.
The subdistrict plans to promote the use of bilingual signs in public places within the community, tap into bilingual and expatriate volunteers within its jurisdiction and leverage the information advantages of CNS to provide expatriates with information and services such as policy assistance, social activities and life guidance, offering more convenience for their lives.
