The third phase of the landscape lighting project on both sides of Suzhou Creek Putuo section is currently under full swing, according to the Shanghai Landscaping & City Appearance Administrative Bureau. 

Since the start of the Suzhou Creek Putuo section landscape lighting project in 2020, the first and second phases of the project have created a pleasant waterside night view. 

For the third phase, the night scenery of riverside spaces will be upgraded by using night herons, the most distinctive element of Suzhou Creek, as the creative theme. The original overly bright and dazzling lights will be removed and replaced with "birds and flowers" themed art landscape lamps to create an ecologically beautiful Suzhou Creek shoreline in Putuo. 

The illumination and color of the lamps along the creek and walkways will be adjusted and the old lighting facilities will be optimized to create a dreamy riverfront night view. 

Three important places, Pengyuepu Pump Gate in Panjiawan, Mengqing Bay and Huayuan Bay have been selected for setting up artistic and scenically themed lighting, creating a new highlight for a night tour of the Suzhou Creek in Putuo. 

The third phase project will establish the Putuo District landscape lighting smart management system control center to provide efficient management. 

Additionally, the project will feature new generation LED lights, which are energy-efficient, safe and reliable.
