Shanghai Putuo Population and Family Planning Guidance Center (hereinafter referred to as “Center”) is located in Putuo District Citizen Service Center at No. 510, Caoyang Road, covering a building area of 1000 square meters，and is currently one of the largest district population and family planning service institutions with most complete facilities and best quality service functions. Following the overall demand of “innovating community management and improving public service level”, the center is grounded on scientific and healthy family development, integrates marriage registration and premarital examination, pre-pregnancy service and family planning management as a whole, and has creatively developed a “to family and for family” population and family planning public service model which involves the whole process of human life.

As the main body of the district`s population and family planning public service, the center includes five functional areas of administrative reception area, full life service area, administrative office area, popular science exhibition area and intelligent training area, covering different life stage services including 0-3 year old infants parenting guidance, adolescent education, pre-pregnancy physical examination,  prenatal and postnatal care counseling, comprehensive menopause service, and psychological consolation of old people. In terms of external functions, the center influences the district`s 9 Street/town population and family planning guidance Stations and more than 260 community (village) population and family planning guidance rooms, which forms Level-3 public service system of population and family planning of Putuo District to provide population and family planning public services which are more convenient, better and newer for the people of the whole district.
