Shanghai Putuo Liqun Hospital (Shanghai PutuoLiqun Red Cross Hospital), located at No 910 Taopu Road，is a modern comprehensive Grade II Class A hospital integrating medical treatment, disease prevention, teaching and scientific research.  In February, 2001, Putuo District Health Bureau and Shanghai Zhanyue Industrial Co., Ltd. signed the official contract for the capital joint and restructuring of Liqun Hospital to introduce private capital and participate in social medical services in the form of stock ownership. On December 18th, 2001, the new Liqun Hospital officially opened. In April, 2002, it became Liqun Clinical Medical College of the Second Military Medical University of Chinese People's Liberation Army. In July, 2005, Putuo District Government reached an agreement with the investor, allowing the second structure transformation of Liqun Hospital, which put an end to the joint-stock system.

Today, by adhering to the "strict, realistic, caring, honest” motto spirit of the hospital, Liqun people forge ahead with innovation and make unremitting efforts to reach the strategic goal of shaping the hospital into a regional medical center in the northwest of Putuo District.
