Shanghai Caoyang Middle School Affiliated School is a public nine-year compulsory school with 40 classes, 1568students and 129 faculty members located in the southwest of Putuo District, one of the downtown areas of Shanghai. The campus is beautiful and tidy with green trees surrounded, known as a “Garden-like Unit of Shanghai”.

The school adheres to the education idea of “To learn respect, To develop harmoniously” and regards “Respect opens minds, Harmony smooth hearts” as the value orientation. In the process of school operation, the school has always put student development first. Students are expected to respect, to seek for knowledge, to maintain health, to explore, and to have specialties. In other words, the education goal is to cultivate young citizens with all-round development of morality, wisdom, physique, aesthetics and labor. 

In recent years, the school has successively won many honors, including Key Experimental School of Educational Technology Research in The 13th Five-Year Plan, Municipal Standard School of Mental Health Education, Municipal Pilot School of Digital Textbook Project, District School of New High Quality Projects, and District Code of Conduct Five-Star School.
