March 29, 2023 |

The BOKE Internet R&D Application Center, located at 229 Nujiang Road N. in Putuo District, has officially started construction.

It has been listed as a key project in the district’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), aiming to create a new cultural landmark in Shanghai. It is expected to be completed in 2025.

The BOKE project is designed by famous Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The concept of green, high-end and intelligent architecture runs throughout the entire project.

Liu Zhongsheng, Party secretary of BOKE Technology Co Ltd, said that the project will integrate "game+" businesses such as animation, art, public welfare, science popularization and exhibitions, to create a unique cultural and artistic landmark.

The total investment of the BOKE project is over 1 billion yuan (US$145.35 million). According to the design plan, the project consists of a podium and a tower, with the latter being 14 stories high and able to accommodate 2,000 people. The podium will be used for exhibitions and the public services area for enterprises.

After completion, the BOKE Internet R&D Application Center will become a "smart brain" for Internet R&D that will help promote regional digital transformation and attract more technical talents to gather in the area.
