Preparations and planning for Taopu Smart Cold Chain Industrial Park are currently under way.

With a total planning area of 179,000 square meters, the project aims to establish a cold chain investment center, a cold chain supply chain service center, a cold chain e-commerce center, and a cold chain ecological service center to meet the demand of residents in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The project has been identified as one of the key construction projects in Putuo District in 2023, with a total investment of 2.2 billion yuan (US$319.88 million).

Taopu Smart Cold Chain Industrial Park has set clear targets for zero carbon emissions. With a series of technology measures based on green building concepts, the emissions of the building monoliths will be reduced. In terms of green energy applications, the project will adopt technologies such as roof-distributed photovoltaic, photovoltaic curtain wall, energy storage center, and more to provide a large amount of renewable energy for the park.

To ensure the economic output contribution of the park, the project will adopt a “build-while-operate” model. It is estimated that in the next five years, the annual tax revenue of the project will increase further, and more high-quality enterprises with a tax contribution of 10 million yuan or 100 million yuan will be introduced.
