The China-Israel Innovation Hub has been listed as one of the eight intelligent manufacturing industrial zones in Shanghai, according to the Shanghai Economic and Informatization Commission yesterday.
In addition to the China-Israel Innovation Hub, the other intelligent manufacturing industrial zones are: the Shanghai Robotics Industrial Zone in Baoshan District, the Waigaoqiao Intelligent Manufacturing Service Industrial Zone in the Pudong New Area, the Minhang Development Zone in Minhang District, the Jiading Hydrogen Energy Harbor in Jiading District, the Jinqiao 5G Industrial and Ecological Zone in Pudong, the Lingang-Nanqiao Intelligent Transport Valley in Fengxian District and the Shanghai New Energy Auto Base in Jiading District.
The China-Israel Innovation Hub targets the artificial intelligence, robotics, medicare, internet and information industries as key development areas. The hub is within Taopu Smart City, a former industrial park being developed into a high-end business district featuring the latest technology, a green environment and innovation.
The hub is expected to make Putuo’s Taopu area on par with Zhangjiang Technology City in Pudong as a key center for the development of Shanghai as a technology and innovation hub.
