The district government of Putuo signed a cooperation agreement on intelligent education with leading Chinese tech firm ByteDance, owner of Chinese personalized news aggregator Jinri Toutiao and short video sharing platform TikTok, on Thursday.
Internet Plus Education will be the main area for the cooperation between Putuo and ByteDance, especially during the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The district plans to set up an innovation center on intelligent education with ByteDance.
ByteDance will also help the district to improve digital education and administrative efficiency with a comprehensive office administration system.
Top leaders of Putuo, including Party Secretary Cao Liqiang; Deputy Party Secretary Jiang Dongdong, also director of the district; Gu Jun; Zhou Yan; Wang Jue; and Fan Yigang as well as senior executives of ByteDance, including Senior Vice President Yu Jianjun, joined the signing ceremony.
