“Health Cloud”, the city’s health service platform that links residents, doctors, medical institutions and governmental departments, has become a reality, with one of its devices being trialed in Taopu, Putuo District, since January

Running on the mode of connecting the Internet and community health management, it seeks to provide quality medical service for local residents.

People can examine health indicators, including body fat, blood pressure and oxyhemoglobin saturation. The data is then uploaded on to the database and will help in detecting and screening certain chronic diseases.

It also comes with an app that allows users to check their health profile, make appointment for hospital visits or vaccination and communicate with family doctors.

In subsequent upgrade, the system will utilize these profiles to carry out effective management of chronic patients and improve the level of public health services.
