A framework cooperation agreement was signed yesterday between the Putuo District government and Shenzhen-based Kuang-Chi Institute of Advanced Technology, a privately owned hi-tech innovation and development group.
District Governor Zhou Minhao attended and spoke at the ceremony.
According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate to transfer scientific research results of Kuang-Chi into products and the institute is encouraged to invest in the Taopu Smart City, a hi-tech industrial park in Putuo.
Zhou briefed Kuang-Chi representatives on the economic and social status of the Taopu project. He also urged relevant units and departments to build an environment suitable for sci-tech startups.
