Zhenru Park in Putuo is holding a wintersweet exhibition. It is Shanghai’s only park to feature the wintersweet plant following a renovation last year.
The exhibition will last until February 20.
The park was first built in 1988 and it now has more than 980 wintersweet trees of 59 kinds that bloom in different phases.
Altogether 20 wintersweet trees have been planted this year, most of which are rare and precious, including one that is more than 70 years old and another which is 80 years old.
In addition to the plants, over 20 wintersweet bonsais are on display at the venue.
