November 30, 2018 |

The world tour of Piece of Peace – World Heritage Exhibits Built with Lego Bricks is going to be held from December 1, 2018 to February 24, 2019 at Joy City in Putuo District.

Since the Piece of Peace exhibition was held in Japan in 2003 for the first time, it has appeared in Singapore as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan, attracting great attention from the locals.

The 1,000-square-meter exhibition in Shanghai will use more than 410,000 Lego bricks and display more than 40 large scale world heritage models from 28 countries such as the Great Wall, the Statue of Liberty, Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family, and the Red Square.

Also, lesser known world heritages such as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, and the Rapa Nui National Park will also be exhibited.

The Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family uses more than 25,000 Lego bricks, making it the exhibit using the most Lego bricks at the exhibition. The Nubia Statue, the tallest exhibit at the exhibition, uses 20,000 Lego bricks and it takes 480 hours to build.

There will also be a Brick by Brick interaction area, where visitors can dive into the Lego brick pool and build their own Lego works. Lego China will collaborate with Legoland Discovery Center Shanghai to introduce pop-up stores with special themed Lego models such as the Disneyland and Harry Potter. More surprises can be found on the second floor of the Legoland Discovery Center Shanghai.
