Putuo District Greenery and Sanitation Administration Bureau recently launched a renovation project on the 12,600-square-meter Lanxi Youth Park. Workers will remove the park’s enclosure walls, increase the park’s gates to five, and open the park to the public 24 hours a day.
Located at the business and culture center of Caoyang New Village, the park’s open space will be decorated with bright colors and simple patterns. The park’s main passage is a landscape pergola decorated with followers, landscape bridges, waterside pavilions and terraces scattered about.
Also, the park’s ground will be paved with a new type of asphalt, which will let rainwater seep through and help to keep the park-goers’ shoes dry. Exercise venues and resting places will also be added to the park. Lighting equipment are also installed to bring convenience to local residents when walking in the park at night.
