Putuo’s first student mock Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference activity concluded at Caoyang Middle School on Monday. District CPPCC officials attended the closing ceremony.
Prizes were given to outstanding students, instructors, teams and volunteers involved in the mock conference.
Award winning proposals were also presented at the ceremony.
They included Caoyang Middle School’s suggestion on regulating online commercial placement, Jinhua Middle School’s supporting talents abroad that help Putuo’s transformation as well as other topics like promoting the traditional Han-style clothing and the privacy protection in the Big Data era.
Students reported their survey results through storytelling and question and answer sessions.
By taking part into the mock conference activities, students got a better understanding of the CPPCC members’ work process.
They started with setting up a topic and then carried on to design a questionnaire, conduct social surveys and compose final proposals based on the research and discussion.
The mock conference aims at raising young people’s awareness of social responsibility and innovation.
