Global Harbor offers kids a place to read

August 10, 2017 |

A mini library for children was opened last month in Global Harbor shopping mall and proved popular among youngsters in Putuo District.

The local branch of the Communist Youth League donated 100 books to the library and there are more than 300 books on the shelves, including fictions and classics.

“We made use of small space in the building to provide children a place to read, apart from other fun activities,” a mall manager said.

Children can read books sitting at a table or on the carpet. They can borrow books for one week after filling in a registration card.

The mini library receives around 500 visitors and lends more than 30 books on an average day, said the manager.
