Putuo students gave a performance in Chongqing, western China, where the 2017 Global Natural History Day Challenge took place on Monday.
The theme of this year’s event is “Nature: From Micro to Macro”. Participants were required to present a performance or show related to the theme.
The Putuo team stood out from more than 400 teams from around the world and came home with three first prizes and one second prize. Some students went to the competition for the fourth time.
The Global Natural History Day Challenge is organized by Behring Global Education Foundation and came to China in 2012. It is held in 14 municipalities and provinces every year. The competition encourages students to observe and learn about the nature.
The founder, Kenneth Behring, is an American philanthropist who has supported many welfare programs from health to environmental protection and education.
