The Putuo District government opened a public service center on Tuesday. Putuo’s Party secretary Shi Xiaolin, mayor Zhou Minhao and other officials attended the opening ceremony.
At 602 Tongpu Road, the center is a one-stop shop for services from 22 government departments. Its 207 workers provide administrative approval and services covering 279 matters, from company registration to taxation, construction projects, and human resources.
The center uses the Internet and big data technologies to serve residents. People can make an appointment online and scan a QR code in the reception lobby to obtain a guide on their smartphones.
The center also launched an official website and WeChat account for people to submit applications and track the approval procedure. More service items will be added to benefit local residents.
