December 05, 2016 |

As a part of the 2016 Suzhou Creek Cultural Festival, an exhibition of commemorative stamps featuring historical moments of China’s space industry was held at Putuo Library.

The 232 stamps and first-day covers included 54 signatures by Chinese astronauts and space program scientists.

The exhibition traced the development of China’s space program from the test mission of Shenzhou-1 spacecraft in 1999 to the manned mission of Shenzhou-6 spacecraft in 2005 and the successful docking of Shenzhou-8 and Tiangong-1 space station in 2011.

The stamp exhibition continued through November 4.
