A batch of high-end manufacturers in the advanced material sector are accelerating the application of cutting-edge technologies at the China-Israel Innovation Hub in Putuo District, according to a monthly magazine of the Yangtze River Delta Strategy published by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences recently.

A firm from Anhui Province, also partner of the China-Israel Innovation Hub, donated protective masks to Putuo at the district administration service center on June 7.

The masks are labeled as the world’s first copper-oxide masks that can protect users against COVID-19. Xu Shujie, deputy director of Putuo, received the masks from Anhui Health Box Technology Co. at the donation ceremony.

The company, based in Hefei, capital of Anhui, is developing a virus-killing car filter, which is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year.
